Other than the 100% route that is being worked out right now is this the most up to date route to start practicing on?

I have been following Zelda speedrunning since SDA and now I have tons of free time and a working console version of MM to learn the tricks and start practicing for the best(and evilist) category ever.

I'd say yes just to get a feel of where everything is, and it's not that bad of a route. I'd go ahead and go through that route a few times
