I'm guessing the PM was from DarkRocky but one of his comments:

Quote
This is called "Bottle Adventure" and is very common among Speedrunners... Though I must say you almost had me fooled for quite a while before I was realizing that you use cheat in certain opportunities even if you say that you don't

then try to submit your run to SDA and see if you can get it published on their website?

You should send him a link saying that Out of Bounds is allowed, ZSR link on Bottle Adventure and a SDA verification page to show that loser this awesome run has got accepted Wink

I had a few dumb comments saying my NSMB run wasn't a WR because I didn't beat Bowser ASAP (they were getting mixed up with Any% and 100%).

Here's his reply:

 Sv: Re: LoZ - OoT
Hmm... (Inhales) Though you never answered my question about the songs or just plained ignored it either way you choose not too answer it now why is that could it be that you did'nt know what to say or did you think I would forget about it?
If someone is so nervous about answering a simple question like that must have something to hide... be careful when writing stuff to me I can see what others can not ^^

Another thing that is stupid but I will say it anyway SDA has it's rules nad such thing though you're just submiting you run to them they just look after regular cheats you know the things they can see like: Infinite Health - Infinite Magic. There is no EQ to actully deep look into run.

Besides you could have played it on a PC with a Emulator (I don't think so, but you could have) or there is a possible that you could have used a ridiculous connection to your computer when recording therefore using a "PC Glitch" you would be surprised of what could happen.

Anyways we can go on forever with this, but I believe what I want to believe.

I for one think that there are no glitches in OoT. It's just gameshark codes.

RBA stands for Rare Bird Adventure. We call it that because we need to get the blue cucco in order to use it.

Just got this PM on YouTube:

LoZ - OoT
I'm not accusing you of cheating with codes or something like, but the things you do in the run are not legit, i'm talking about "Out of Bounds" and how you got almost all the songs without even talking to Shiek... Even if you proclaim that you do not cheat it is pretty obvious that you do.
And if you look at the video there are items that you did'nt even get in the run but still have in your inventory, that bit confuses me a little.
Though I'm fully aware what you doing in the run like the: Megaflip & Ultimate Sword Glitch but that can only do so much for you. And I know almost everything about an "Bottle Adventure" speedrun
ether way your run is not a legit one.
If he knew everything about BA/RBA, he'd know what you were doing e.e

I almost forgot about this, a guy at my previous school said he didn't like Mario and Zelda games because they were animated...

Also, the threat level meter for Twilight Princess itself should be 1 out of 6 regardless what health you have.

those comments would make people turn their brains into jelly out of the amount of facepalms they induce.

it's hard to believe people are that stupid and still claim to "know the game"

-Suitemate walks in-, sees me tasvideos
Him: "Ooh, tool assisted."
Me: "You've heard about TASes?"
Him: "Yeah, they are when you cheat to beat the game faster."

lol.

something that gets me is why people automatically assume that TAS means cheating when they don't know about it.

My brother is pretty much a walking noob moment and it's really frustrating.

Any time he sees me speedrunning a game, or watching a video of a speedrun or a TAS, he just bitches about how it's not legitimate and people should just learn to play the game without doing glitches.

IMO I think he's probably just jealous because he claims he knows everything about OoT, so when he sees something he didn't know about, he gets all pissy.

Wellbe6 has made a speed run video -_- with by recording camera off screen footage of SMG 2. Not sure if the time is impressive as I haven't been following the fastest IL runs recently.

Seems kinda unfair that the 360 version gets Banjo and Kazooie while the other consoles don't get a cool exclusive too

@brawlmaster08 Especially since banjo Kazooie is a playstation game...
