It's all very well talking about triple staircase superbombhoverslides but we're not there yet in our house. My 9-year-old son has finished OoT the regular way, has seen an MST run and a TAS, and his eyes have been opened. I showed him what little I knew:

Ground jump
ISG and bomb hover
Down A (but no applications because I don't know any)
Damage buffer
Ocarina Items (his favourite!)
Flame storage
Nayru love megaflip
and then the Pokey forest escape.

I don't want to say to him "oh just goof around on youtube and find your own stuff" because at the age of 9 you still have to be protected from "the real world" a bit -- many youtube videos have rude comments below them, which don't worry me but which I would deem inappropriate for my son. I figure that I can just show him stuff and he can try and copy me -- that works for both of us -- and I can help him when he fails, because when you're 9 you need some help sometimes. In particular, although he's desperate to do DoT skip I can't just say to him "here's the ZSR page about DoT skip -- now go ahead" because somehow that's just too hard for him (I suspect...).

So...to somehow complement the thread where people talk about the insanely hard stuff, how about some people suggest some relatively straightforward stuff that I can show my son? That would be much appreciated by both of us. And we'll work our way to DoT skip. I find supersliding very tough and can only occasionally pull it off, but he finds it very frustrating when he can't pull it off, and you can't learn when you're frustrated.

Two-bomb superslides have a much more forgiving timing. Walking while talking / actor glitch is pretty easy.

And for YouTube comments, I recommend this Greasemonkey script: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/74340

superslide with NL
navi dive forest escape (aquaescape)
gold scale early (as child)
chu hovering with hoverboots
forest temple bk skip
bottle dupe (you can delete items forever this way, be careful)
power crouch stab
cucco dive for botw early
zora's river waterfall skip with cucco
spelldiving (with din's fire or another spell)

i'm sure there are several other easy ones i can't think of right now. the essential sequence breaks sticky has a list of tricks with difficulty ratings for each one, so maybe try some of the things in that. if this stuff is too easy, i can try to come up with better stuff.

This is art because the music is classical music, and the graphics are done with a pen. The story is something about a woman. I could not understand much of this to be honest, which makes it even more likely to be an art.

Thanks for these suggestions. In fact I underestimated my kids -- they want to mimic runnerguy's RTA run -- we've just managed to do DoT skip for the first time ever :-)

<@Swordless> Have you had this problem before? A game not starting until you cleaned it?

Megaflip without NL can be easy, but NL megaflips are still way easier. Still, if you pause buffer, both are easy. Just roll right about when the bomb gets big.

King Zora clip is pretty fun, and easily done (as both child and adult)
Bottom of the Well early (not chus, those are rather difficult unless you have bombs)
'Flaming' Cucco (and try to z-target it and stop moving)
Sign Owl skip is super easy.

I can't really think of many 'easy' glitches, each has it's difficulties. Megaflipping off of enemies is pretty easy, especially if they don't move (Deku babas for example, you can practice to see what the distance is)

ESS is 'technically' easy, but annoying to hold.
