hell no, getting goron tunic takes a long ass time. getting cucco bottle and a fairy from fire temple doesn't even come close to the time it takes to get goron tunic

1. Goron Tunic and Bottle were roughly close in time in MST segged, with Goron Tunic edging it out. I'm not sure if that is still the case here, when you can't rely on a 2 cycle (lol) and you have to get the heart containers anyways for typical RTA/SS shenangans.

2. ZFG knows what he is talking about. One extra heart is not enough for a 4 cycle volvagia. What is a much, much better idea is to learn pokey's trick to use a bottled fairy in a duped bottle, get 2 fairies (one duped over Deku Nuts or Lens of Truth...both have their pros and cons. If you have enough fairies, dupe one over both if you really want to.), and begin easy mode. The spirit HC takes just as long if not longer than getting another duped fairy. Plus, with 2 bottles, I think you could do Fire at a more optimal time after DC/Shadow (using hookshot or sword on Volvagia), but I'm not sure on that. You'ld have 6 x3 hearts available, although if you aren't really fast you may waste one in the main section of the temple. But, this would mean we could get Magic and Fire with much less detour and use our position after Deku to head to water (or simply savewarp).

To be honest, I haven't even looked at the route yet, just read the posts below. I'm just assuming stuff from what I've heard in discussion/seen in pretty much every previous MST SS route. I'll do a closer read of it later today when I have more time.

I'm not sure I understand your bottle trick there. I thought fairies didn't revive you if they were in duped bottles.

Pokey found a way to make them revive you in any bottle. But nobody fully remembers how to do it, it is something about having the duped bottle equipped and a fairy in a nonduped bottle, or something of a similar nature.
