do you think this trick could be combined with a clip of some sort in different areas that cant already be accessed through using bombs/ chus?

Glad to see someone invested some time into trying to make this useful. I thought it was pretty useless until Cfox mentioned it could be used to move a skulltula toward something climbable in order to vine clip, unfortunately adult link can't vine clip and child link can't use the bow. ^^ Maybe if we could move the skulltula toward the ladder in the first room of BotW somehow we could get earlier wellchus?

Could it be combined with this glitch? - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89jL9HOLqwg

It is MrGrunz skip 99% of the Shadow Temple glitch for all-temple runs and such. It requires that the redead be used to clip the wall. Well, moving the redead was slow... could this be used to make it faster? It'd probably be TAS only.

I don't think it will help with shadow temple boss key skip at all. You can't move redead with bow and I think hookshot is almost only method. And it seems TAS only trick to me.

BotW more early chus would maybe work but I don't know can you somehow move skulltulas as a child somehow. And if you can clip throught first laddes it would be useless because there is no water below you. So you would just fall to oob. I can't think of any other places where this trick could work for now. Adult link cannot clip from vines so it makes skulltula moving pretty useless.

ALMOST NEW WAY FOR JJB AS ADULT?!?! I think I may be on to something...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZHpvK0jg5_4

Seriously though, we need a new way. The current way is pretty much "Outstanding glitchers only"

Anywho, I found this while thinking about a new way. I don't know how to get consistency with standing on nothing (that time it was pure luck) but I bet it is just positioning.

I don't think it will work, unless we can 'stand on nothing' in the ice since the loading zone is a bit above the water.

I looked closely and it's actually a seam. So if we could seamwalk then sidehop it MIGHT work.

Also, it's possible to clip inside of the ice by swimming. It's what I tried to do at the end of the video but failed :/ seems you need to be in oob to clip in. We really need a way to 'jump' out of the water.

This is all very old, check page 7 of this thread. On August 4th 2010 I found a new easy way to enter the iceberg (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NS5Iz2WNRg8), on August 5th I reached the exact same standing position underneat the platform as your video (messed with it on emulator for hours, lead to nothing).

JJB adult is not a very useful trick aside from challenge categories like Max% adult. Kazooie's method is not that hard with pause buffering and requires a lot less time and resources than going all the way out of bounds. On top of that it's actually possible, you'll never get link to jump 3 feet out of the water to touch the underside of the iceberg. Even from that standing OOB spot, with a hoverboots run-to-gainer where Link totally looks like he's brushing against the underside of the iceberg, he still doesn't trigger teh load zone.

Hate to crush dreams but it's not gonna happen, kazooies's method is pretty great anyway.

I stumbled across this Navi skip in Jabu on the switch before the boomerang room. ZFG reckoned it is new, Paladrima reckons he's done it once or twice. Either way, that's a video of it.

Given the small amount of time saved and the likely precision required setting it up (I haven't had a chance to try it again) it's probably only useful in a TAS, so enjoy!

Posted this on irc but I thought I'd put it here too.

It's low qual and the audio is desynched. If anyone's up to make a highqual just put my name in for credits. This by far is the easiest big octo skip ever.

would shooting the skulltula with the slingshot and talking to navi make it go flying? i havnt played oot in a while so i cant think if it would work.

anyway its probs way slower to get the slingshot to do any sort of clip with the skulltula than the clip would save

No, the slingshot would just damage/kill the skulltula.
