Hi all, new to the forum so I hope this is right place.
I was able to create a "disk" Disk Drive file on an old broken cart I had.
The cart was N64 v1.2 NTSC-U (English) that lost the ability to save a while back. When I turned it on today it had a file saved in the second slot labeled in JP " x x x x ^disk"where x is the JP character found in position (1,9) on the Japanese File Create Screen (Unicode 3061?). The file was grey and the cursor would skip over it.
I could copy the file to other slots, and then place the cursor over that slot. But I was unable to select the file. Restarting the console deleted the file. I was able to recreate it a few times by starting a file in slot 2. But now it is gone (before I could get a screen shot too
)
Any known tricks are used for this type of file? I think it would be really cool of we could use this for some type of file corruption.
P.S. The file looked similar to this file:
