A Link Between Worlds Bingo

We decided to start with a race file as documented here: http://forums.zeldaspeedruns.com/index.php?topic=1482.0

I have set up Google Docs to accept ideas for ALBW Goals from racefile.  We may also consider doing a long race where we begin from start.

Either way, post up your goal ideas here: http://bit.ly/1exJtdp

Lastly, the final location for bingo will be here: http://bit.ly/17W5P8A

Thank you everyone for your help!

I discussed this in the IRC and I think Cloudmax likes this idea.

So anyway I can't see why there shouldn't be Have X Hearts goals on the Bingo board. However, because you end up clearing the first three dungeons in the Lorule file, there should be a special case rule to ban obtaining these heart pieces.

If the bingo Card "rolls" a Have X Hearts goal, the Eastern Palace, Hera Tower, and Tower of Gales Heart Containers cannot be obtained, with one exception. If the bingo card "rolls" a goal to obtain one of these Heart Containers, the previous rule is ignored for that heart container.

To make it easier to see when this rule is in effect, the card should display whether these hearts are banned or not on the side somewhere.

This is art because the music is classical music, and the graphics are done with a pen. The story is something about a woman. I could not understand much of this to be honest, which makes it even more likely to be an art.

Because I'm dumb and forget things. But yeah, that's what I've thrown together. It is not supposed to be final or anything. My only goal was to throw enough bingo goals into it to make it actually playable, then have people give me feedback on it to see what needs changing, because it isn't tuned, timed, or anything at all.

As soon as the race starts, you will create a new file. The first thing you must do before you start completing your goals is get to Lorule. You should use the castle climb and cutscenes as time to plan your route.
That description sounds a bit off. Wouldn't it be better if it was something like "Before the race, you need to setup a speficic file following some guidelines. [Link pastebin with file infos]" ?

Here are my ideas:
Desert palace miniboss warp
Knucklemaster heart container
Octorock heart piece
All lost woods maiamais
Skull ore
Treachorous tower level 1 and 2
Desert boss key
All maiamai's in kakariko
level 4 sword
milkman's bottle
beat race brother once
cucoo minigame (haven't decided on amount)
all keys in swamp
power glove (no skip)
Beat the mimics in dark palace for warp
Get all keys in gale
Get hylian shield
All keys in turtle rock
Golden bee
One of every potion from the witch

I understand most of these ideas aren't too good compared to what is currently constructed, but this list was made before I even noticed that.

DP warp, will add
Knucklemaster HC, already a thing
Octorok HP, too short imo
All LW mais, all lost woods and skull woods maiamais is a goal...
Skull ore, already a goal iirc
Treacherous, already a thing
DP BK, will add
Kak mais, will add
Level 3? sword, already a thing
Milkman's bottle, might add
Race once, might add "Hyrule Hotfoot HP", seems too short though
Cucco minigame, pls
Swamp keys, can you get all of them w/o using any?
Power glove, you get this in the setup now
Dark Palace warp, might add
Gale keys, no, there's only one you don't get
Hylian Shield, already a thing
Turtle keys, will add
Golden Bee, bee badge is a thing
Potions, each is a thing, one of each seems too long imo

Thanks for the suggestions though Cheesy

With all the new stuff that's been found, I've made some changes to the item list, adding "Open Ice Ruins Big Door" and "Open Turtle Rock Big Door" goals, with the original goals still existing but being decreased in difficulty (ice significantly, turtle by a little bit).

Bingo does seem kind of dumb now with one of the longest goals (ice) being extremely short (and easy) now.

If anyone has suggestions, post them obviously.

We should also probably redo race files that do gales skip 2.0 and the hera skip (or at least just skipping the miniboss would be enough I think).
