Not sure if I'll join this task or not, though I got a few of my own, and Grunz is hardly ever on to make any, or reply to messages I send him, lmao. So complete Dampe Race as a child? I think I'll pass on this one(working on some challenges for OoT and a route for another tas). Also, might be easier to make it simpler to read for others. Kinda like this(used your challenge as an example):
Challenge: Complete Dampe race as a child
Start/Finish: The frame you arrive in the grave to speak to Dampe to the first frame you begin to talk with Dampe after the race is over
Special Rules: No Nayru's Love/Hookshot. Max of 3 explosives to use.

Not trying to be mean or anything. Just decided to look through this topic, and just happened to see a bit of confusion in the beginning replies and thought I'd make a quick post. The Dampe race looks like it'd be interesting to watch some newcomers in tasing. Hope this can all turn out well for recording!
The save state is adult, you have to glitch inside to access dampe's grave as a child!
What, we can't use the US rom? Cuz that's the one that I have...
Wait... What? Where did you see that we have to use a rom that isn't US?
The save state provided is for PAL roms, and the US rom is NTSC. (The file said it was made on the European anyways)
I also checked in mupen, and it gave the error 'Savestate Wrong Region'. Even if you were to use the state on the US rom (you can in PJ64 from what i've seen), the result would be the emulator equivalent of CC.
