everyone knows the strange and pale cucco guy that obviously hates humans. raised in kakariko, he has a warm hearted sister that entrusts you an egg and the blue cucco that she is taking care of while her brother went on a quest into the lost woods. there is no hint why the pale guy would need to look for a mushroom but it appears that he also has a certain relationship to the potion shop hag. she is aware of his situation, she probably argued with him about not going into the forrest so he went secretly. a medicine wont work on a fool, she said. this indicates that he may suffered on an illness. he is also in posession of a saw which means he is a carpenter or related with one of the carpenters. considering that his saw is the former saw of the carpenter chief he could be the son of him. but the carpenter chief also revealed that he left the saw with his wife, so he did not hand it over to the pale guy right away. so his wife must. maybe its the potion shop hag? the pale guy avoids every kind of human except for his sister and the potion shop hag. its possible that he removed the saw from the potion shop to look for the mushroom. its an odd mushroom so it maybe grows only very high on a tree so he had to cut down the tree. the last impression we get from the cucco guy is seeing him happy. probably the first time in his life. he gets unified with cojiro again and he gets to know the first nice stranger, link. leaving him in this absolute moment of peace his transformation into a stalfos could be a metaphor for a fullfilled life and its now time to pass since he experienced the meaning of life.
