Found a new savewarp: After you get the Roc's Feather, you get two keys before you get to the area with the boss key (hopefully you know what I mean Tompa). A S&Q after the second key saves a couple of seconds, and also allows for better optimization for the second half.

I was thinking about doing a save warp there, but in my mind I couldn't get how it would be faster. I'm going to check with the emulator. Edit: Ok, it was actually going to save time apparently. Then go for it  . |

The timing for that three cycle is so hard, it's not worth it. There's enough luck manipulation in that segment as it is.
I don't think the game has frustrated me more with any other segment, and I'm going to be taking a break to do a LA screenwarping run. I finished my route today (because it's extremely complicated, right?), and might start attempts tomorrow, I'll keep people posted if they want.
I'm hoping to resume progress on this run sometime next week.

My schedule is finally starting to open up. I've found a consistent way to get a 3 cycle on the miniboss, so I'm going to get more attempts tonight and see if I can't get this sucker started again.
I'm also starting the Seasons run. I know what I'm doing for segment 1, so I think I'll attempt that a bit tonight as well.
Either way, a new segment of either should go up on my channel tonight.
