of course, that doesn't help any if a) you can do any% in 3 trips, no megaflips b) that only pertains to any%, the rare exception, c) if you mess up a lot (which we all know you did) it's not really all that useful

a.) Doing any% in 3 trips no megaflips would be way harder and so much slower that you might as well take the extra 2 trips
b.) I can see a lot of goals where megaflips would be useful in cutting out bomb shop trips (e.g. odolwa's remains)
c.) I only fucked up a few megaflips in stone tower, and it was still faster than taking the bomb shop trip

b) odolwas remains is a really short and dumb goal, but even other woodfall type goals like 100% completion or great spin do not necessarily benefit
c) how many times have you failed woodfall bk skip? or the hover to PF?

b.) Megaflips would save time in 100% - doing old school wrong warp with megaflips is way faster than doing zora long jump without
c.) Woodfall BK skip with megaflips is way easier than without IMO, and the hover to PF i've only ever failed because of the retarded fence in the way

Anyway let's just stop arguing about this, if you want to make one more point after this that's fine; I'm done with this discussion.

a) "way" as in about a minute or 2, obviously this is only preferred for races
b) for 100% it's faster to just skip bomb bag completely
c) yet you fail it all the time

In Kaztalek's 100% route he skips the Deku guards with some Zora clip, I have tried to replicate it, but no luck. Any tips for that?

Also, I hate ISG Slide.

You need to hold Z then hold forward and press b then a and keep hol.ding forward

to zora clip you actually dont hold forward at all (although i guess you could)

hold b to take your fins out
while still holding, press Z or L to target (depending on version)
while holding both buttons, press A to jumpslash
keep holding B and you're through

if you talk to the guards it means you're too close

holding forward only changes your angle with boomerangs lol

if you just do the jumpslash while holding b as zora, you see him warp forward, you don't have to hold a direction

you are free to hold up if you want, but just know that it has absolutely nothing to do with clipping or helping you clip

Oh ok, my mistake was not holding B after the Jump Attack. Thanks a ton. Any tips for grabbing the ledge for Flying Zora? I can get plenty of height off the turtle every time, its just the ledge that kills me.

even I have trouble with grabbing the ledge, but my consistency for it isn't bad at all

what I do is when starting the flying zora, go completely straight forward for the entirety of the first swim, then as he starts the next, go left, then after that, do the rest towards the platform

it's actually not that bad, just really hard to explain, even visually.. you need to get a feel for it yourself

if it helps, the swim has to be completely over in order to grab the ledge, if not you hit the wall

I have never had issues grabbing the ledge on N64 (although on VC the lag seems to make it way harder for some reason); my only problem is getting off the ground sometimes. For the second "burst" where you hold left, make sure you're holding up-left instead of directly left, otherwise it fucks up the whole thing.

heh, today grunz taught me the pro way to do flying zora ledge grab, that never fails

basically as you do my set up, as soon as you start mashing A, swim directly to the right side of the platform (like just one straight line there

at the last swim (you'll know cuz you'll be close to the wall) press b once while it buffers (where he flips before the swim, that entire window) then press A a small bit before you hit the wall

it's really easy, i can get around to making a full tutorial if you like, cuz this is prob the most asked question out there
