Can someone explain to me what I'm doing wrong with pokey escape?

Here's what's happening: I clip through the guard and start spinning (as shown in the video on the site) but as soon as the text is done, I'm back in front of the Kokiri as if I had never clipped.

What am I doing wrong?

EDIT: YES! I DID IT! Too bad I wasn't recording, but I am actually in shock that I got it, so that counts personally for me as proof.

ok... i'm too dumb for DoT skip.
i know, that the angle is right but i still don't got the timing =(

so i want to ask ... is there a list of glitches i should start with?

the only things i am able to do is kokiri escape and the glitch with the gold scale...

i need hundret's of try's for Infinite sword glitch...
an avg time of 15 minutes at the clipping of the DoT skip
and bomb hovering is impossible because i never did it to do ISG with a bomb ._.

maybe a list of glitches i can start with teaches me how to time the glitches...
because if i continue so, it will take years untill i got it ...

edit: ok,ok
the ISG at bombs is easy with a bit training ^^ sorry

Ya, DoT skip isn't really a beginners trick so start with some easier ones like ISG, bomb hover, ground jump, megaflip etc.  Try some of the dungeon sequence breaks out too.

BTW, I'll be updating the DoT skip page today with better videos and descriptions.

I for one think that there are no glitches in OoT. It's just gameshark codes.

RBA stands for Rare Bird Adventure. We call it that because we need to get the blue cucco in order to use it.

ground jump... done randomly while failing bomb hovering
megaflip... didn't try ._.

DoT skip page updated.  I think the pause buffer will help you out.

The drawbridge chains before the Market. You can walk up one of the chains near the top and jump towards the other chain to get a total of 40 rupees.

<@Swordless> Have you had this problem before? A game not starting until you cleaned it?

Oh okay. Thanks.

Is there an easier way of getting bombchus early from the bottom of the well? I've been unable to clip through the vines using the skulltula. I have bombs and the slingshot if that helps.

if you have bombs, just get the chus the normal way, it's way faster (blow up the the dirt pile at the beginning, it's right underneath)

Question:

I Escaped the Forest with Deku Sticks and a Deku Shield (no sword).

Now I can't fish at the Fishing Pond.

Is there a way to cast the fishing pole after Esaping the Forest without the Kokiri Sword?

I want the Gold Scale.

Unfortunately, there isn't. Your best bet would be to do it again with the sword.
Or skip the gold scale. Choose your poison Tongue

AniMeowzerz,

I simultaneously thank you for your quick response and apologize for my delayed reaction. As of late, I find that time is a more precious commodity than any other on Earth.

"To do it again with the sword" would preclude an anticipated outcome.

To skip the Gold Scale would omit a bottle from my inventory.

I can live without the bottle.

I thank you for your wise counsel, AniMeowzerz.

Hi all,
I'm working on trying to get the water ESS forest escape to work more consistently. I get the ESS basically 100% of the time, but I can only get through the guard ~10% of the time.  Does anyone have any pointers on getting through the guard more consistently?  I've tried pausing to cancel the slide and playing with different angles before talking to him, but it still seems completely random.

In some speedrun video, I thought I saw someone go from beginning->pokey escape->DoT skip immediately and have bombs as an adult somehow. Well I did this myself and I can't seem to collect any bombs. They won't drop from anything and I can't buy them from the shop. I'm trying to figure out some way to get bombs or bombchus (which I could use to get into DC and get the bomb bag) I thought maybe something in Gerudo's Fortress would help, but I can't pull off the trick of hookshotting across the bridge. I guess I'm wondering if anyone can explain the bomb bag thing and if anyone has any tips on nailing that trick.
