It's now possible to skip the bean and the hookshot. The only downside is that it's TAS only and even then it's hard. No video evidence but I'm sure they'll be in the next 2-3 days. The only way to theoretically improve the route now is to get the odd mushroom in the Fortress which isn't possible.
