I guess I should write about this in here as well as IRC.
Awhile ago, my friend (Lazybutt) was doing a RBA playthrough of OoT. When going through the mountain to Kakariko he was jumping down this cliff:
Instead of falling down, he angled it a bit to the left so he landed on the seam. The effect of this was that he got a huge boost backwards until he hit the wall. He didn't do a jumpslash or anything, only rolling off the cliff (Possibly running, but I doubt that).
How was this done?
The second thing was done on Majora's Mask, but I'll just write it here instead as it should probably be the same in both.
I tried to learn how to bomb hover, so I picked up a bomb, put it down in the ground, crouch stab and was going to pick it up and shield drop it. Instead, I stabbed and did a backflip, but I still got ISG somehow. I never got hit by anything and I never picked up the bomb. First I thought that I did just that it didn't see notice it, but I had my sword out all the time
My thought was that you could get ISG by cancelling the stab using a backflip. I'm going to try to replicate it today, while recording, but as I'm a huge noob when it comes to this game, I'll probably not succeed.
