Could you record a video of how you do it? Here's a video I made of myself doing it; hopefully it will help you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNd-i9xazs8

I thinj it's because you're watching in the direction of Darunia, you have to manipulate the camera a little bit

Sure:

1) Perform Time Stop while facing directly towards the door
2) While holding Z, open the door
3) Make your way toward the cell, ensuring the camera never turns far enough so as to load the Darunia cutscene
4) Right in front of the button, prepare to sidehop onto it, which will open the prison cell
5) Turn toward Darunia so that a camera center will cause the cutscene to activate; however you also sidehop onto the button right as you center the camera, causing the cell opening cutscene to override the Darunia one
