I've been running on N64 all along, and it's definitely holding me back from competing with VC players. Was definitely planning on making the switch, but I was wondering. Would a GC 1.2 wad be legal? Only thought about this because I really like the HUD. Otherwise I'm pretty sure there are literally no differences (besides Z being referred to as L in the text). I know this isn't the virtual console release at all, but it's still running with the VC emulator, so to me it seems like why wouldn't it be allowed, there's no advantage. I realize this probably won't be legal for leaderboards but I just figured it was worth asking about.... that hud is too good lol

I'd say no, because the gc version removed the spinning n64 logo at startup making a vc inject faster than the actual vc release for resetting.

Would an N64 v1.0 wad for Virtual Console be allowed?

aleckermit shows a video of it on YouTube: http://youtu.be/3NftBPPPeOs

No, read the rules. Injects are not allowed.
