I recently came across a slight problem with the VC version of OoT.
Every time Link targets an entity, the targeting never gets canceled until I either press Z-targeting again or move away far enough.

Normally The Z-Targeting would cancel automatically when Z (L for my case) is not being pressed. I tested this out on another Wii and still get the same result. Oddly enough, my N64 version works the way it's suppose to. I have also tried various WAD injects and still no fix.

Is this perhaps a version difference that I am not aware of? I haven't seen a problem like this before and it only started happening recently.

Much help for my silly problem is much appreciated Smiley

On the file select screen, in the options menu, you can choose between "switch" and "hold" targetting. Switch is the default, but a lot of people prefer hold, and hold is the default for most later zelda games I think.

when switch is enabled and you want to untarget you simply have to hold backand press Z Cheesy
but since you're used to hold, it doesn't matter
