So I've been Developing a single 'session' mst run for ocarina of time. What I mean is I want to make a run that doesn't allow resetting of the console. I think resetting the console, going back to the main screen and selectin your file again is a segmented run. You are ending the adventure when you goto the file select screen in my opinion.
So I've developed a run for a true single-segment run, which finishes the game with no major skips, all glitches are allowed, but it's a mst run with no resetting. Is anyone else in agreeance with my idea of a single session mst run? I think I've made a route that finishes the game within 3:15. If anyone wants to help out I'm all ears.
I think what you're describing is what would be called a single segment run. To be honest, I'm not a fan of them. Savewarping (as you would in a traditional RTA run) only cuts out meaningless back tracking/overworld travelling which I see as a positive thing. I believe a lot of runs used to be single segment and have since shifted to RTA routes, so I don't think you'll get a huge amount of interest.
