I'm not from the TAS community but I think I can help you with this one. TASing takes a lot more time than you'd expect if you aim for the high standards of OoT. The problem with longer categories is that the ideal route changes quite frequently due to new glitches being discovered. It's difficult to collect most of the TAS knowledge since it's different from 'real time' applications and the documentation at
tasvideos.org isn't up to date at all. I'd suggest looking at the Author's notes of previous TAS submissions at that page. They explain a lot and help you getting into a mindset which is totally different from the real-time running approach.
As for the actual contribution to your journey: I'd recommend version 1.0 NTSC-J for the BotW chus early glitch. If it hasn't been TAS'd before, try finding a Shadow Temple BK skip from the entrance room without Longshot (that's the max% adult version) which will most likely require bombs before Shadow. I haven't seen you HISS/HESSing in your WIP videos so that's something you want to look at if you haven't already. It allows angle changing like ESS and has the speed of a superslide.
ZSR has a lot of useful background knowledge as well. Other helpful tools besides trying different strategies and timing them could be MHS (memory hacking software) to make approaches more systematic.
TASing can be very frustrating if you don't get the results you're expecting. Try getting into contact with real TASers if you think you're up for it. Good luck and we're all looking forward to seeing your TAS evolving
