I am trying to attain the Black Gauntlets in OoT3D.

My first objective is to get bombchus so I can beat Dodongo's Cavern without having to get Power Bracelets.

I managed to get into the Bottom of the Well (with the intent of getting bombchus) directly after defeating Gohma (despite Grezzo's boulder).

I now have discovered that after negating the water and entering the Dead Hand room, you are trapped; as the door will not become unbarred after beating the Dead Hand.

Has anyone here gotten the Black Gauntlets on the 3DS version of OoT? If so, how did you do so? Most of the strategies available are for the N64 version and no longer apply to the modified 3DS version.

RBA -No Mask- to remove your strength upgrade.
The way of achieving this can be quite annoying, but this is how you do it on 3ds.

Otherwise you'd play on MQ and get early chus in jabu to skip bracelet.

With ng+ hammer, you can get 40 skulltulas without getting the bracelets, allowing for bombchus.

BoTW early is much easier, Navi can sometimes never prompt when you're ready though

But you need bombs to get the wellchus and once you have bombs you can get chus from bowling alley anyway

And how does Link complete the Cavern without the goron bracelet?

With bombchus, obtained from getting 40 skulltulas.

You can get the BoTW Chus without bombs, and way faster than you can get 40 skulltulas with the Hammer. Then there are the cool damage boots to get bombs that would be a fun challenge for the 3D

Tom Nook is either holding out on us or wrong (or crazy). You can't get BotW chus in OoT3D without already having bombs or chus.

Nobody fooled around with the vine clip?

Why are you even bothering trying to skip the Goron Bracelet? In this one, you need to have the Golden Gauntlets to get the black ones. Having no strength upgrade will yield purple.

Also, not sure why you're even going for the black gauntlets. They're ugly as sin- no metallic sheen or anything.

Everyone fooled around with vineclip a lot when the game first came out. It just doesn't want to work.
If we had vineclip, we would have explosives early with sword on B (since that is what we need to enter BotW. Either triple slash dive during night, or triple slash clip OoB and fly into it with a cucco during the day)

What is "ng+ hammer"?

Purple Gauntlets sound pretty awesome.

You actually only need one chu to do it, and that's to blow up the rock at the entrance. If you use the hammer to get Din's Fire and Magic, you can use that to knock down the stairs  to 2fl and every other bombable wall in there falls to the hammer.

A warning though: If you skip the bracelet and then become an adult but forget the scarecrow song, then getting to the fishing pond becomes much harder. And if you TSC'd past king zora as a child, then you need to poe hover in order to get boots to steal the rod.

I wanna know what Nook is talking about.
