That would be a good assumption, otherwise I've got 2 rare carts.

Because of the analog stick (inlcuding more reasons) I never got to buy any N64 things. What I have is a console with a shitty controller (Like most of them), Pokémon Snap (My brothers), Super Mario 64 and a boxed Majora's Mask in excellent condition.
I do want to get more stuff, depending on if I find worthy controllers or not.

Not all games can be injected such as Goldeneye. Or any other games that require the expansion pak. MM was lucky to be released in VC.

Wow that Gold MM NFR is spotless, congrats. How much did you pay?

I got an AWESOME deal recently on a Star Fox 64 NFR, $11.80 SHIPPED!!! It's one of the rarer NFR's. I'm up to 9 N64 NFR's now :)

Only £43.37 (69.44 USD), including shipping.

You should show pictures of all of your NFRs. :D

P.S. I'll get back to you really soon on that thing we were talking about, I'm just finishing setting everything up.

Second pic just for fun :P, the Sonics are as common as dirt. MM grey guy is taking forever to respond to my messages, hanging in there for now. He does run a business full time...

PS: Here's how Excite Bike 64 starts-up, pretty cool... Game itself is same as retail as far as I can tell.

Yeah it is. Like I said above the 2nd pic is just for giggles. Sonic 1 & 2 NFR's were bundle pack-ins, real common.

Great collection, alec. I found an OoT NFR on eBay (seems to be the same guy you said was selling it on nintendoage.com) with only a small tear in the centre of the sticker, but it's £100, and I'm not willing to spend that on a game yet. >_>

I did buy a Mario Kart 64 NFR today, in as good condition as my SM64. Can't wait to get that. I also have a Pokemon Silver NFR coming in the mail.

I saw a poorly-listed MK64 NFR on ebay recently, but I couldn't bid on it (paypal linking issues at the time). It was titled "Super Mario 64" but had a MK64 NFR pic. Quit buying the ones I don't have.

I dunno how much more I can buy right now, anyway. The SM64 and MK64 ones are Christmas presents. There are a few others floating around right now that I want, but nothing too rare. Still waiting for a decent condition grey MM to show up. :(

P.S. are you sure there's a gold OoT NFR? I've looked everywhere for a picture of one but haven't found one, only the grey cart.

It doesn't have a standard spot with "NFR" text on the front label, it only has the white store sticker on the backside. Never seen one myself, but I've been told by a few people on NA that it does exist. Used for some sort of promotion, not much known about it.

is there any NFR game with actual version differences or are they just promotional stuff from stores?

Time to add something else to the collection.

Not in quite as good condition as my other NFRs, but it seems pretty rare (this is the only one I've ever seen floating around), so I'm happy. Still waiting on MK64 to arrive.

Post by: aleckermit on November 11, 2010, 08:31:12 PM
I've seen a few PKMN Silver NFR's on Ebay in small waves, but definitely not a common NFR.

You should go after this unless it doesn't meet your condition standards: http://cgi.ebay.com/Legend-Zelda-Ocarina-Time-Not-Resale-N64-NFR-/130448438461?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item1e5f5534bd

I haven't seen one sell for under $120. Having the NFR text slightly ripped is kind of lame I guess... there will be others available in the future though, but they don't appear very often (I've seen... 3 in the past year?). Buy it and sell me the backside of the cart, mine's missing the sticker :P.

I have 2 new N64 NFR's (one received, one coming in mail).

Never played this before now... it's.... OK I guess. The music/sound is fantastic though, probobly the best surround sound N64 game I've heard.

Very cool MC NFR demo. There's a standard non-demo NFR of it as well, but who wants that??? I'll be at 13/26 total N64 NFR's really soon (added Yoshi's Island International Version to my check list), I'll post a group picture of them here when I have time.

PS: Swordless must your pictures be so large lol? Open with MS Paint>Image>Sketch/Skew then set it to 50% less size for the lengh and width.

What's the point in having a 10 megapixel camera if you aren't gonna put it to good use? :P

I have 4 more NFRs on the way now. Pokemon Stadium 2, Banjo-Tooie, Pokemon Stadium, and Perfect Dark. Pretty happy about this.

Perfect Dark (a bit of scruff on the side of this, but I'll get rid of that):

Pokemon Stadium (no sticker on back, but no residue either):

Oracle of Seasons (slight tear at the bottom left of the sticker, but otherwise great, and no back sticker/residue):

---

I'm still waiting on Pokemon Stadium 2, Banjo-Tooie, and Oracle of Ages to arrive.

My collection is a failure compared to you guys D: I have 44 n64 games, a black console and a Pikachu console, a Japanese imported Pikachu controller, Pokemon controller, 5 standard controllers, rumble pak, memory card, Gameshark v. 2.1, Gameshark Pro v. 3.1

EDIT: I forgot to say that my OoT 1.0 is CIB, Japanese OoT 1.1 is CIB, MM CIB, Pikachu controller CIB.

Also I have MM holographic and non holographic if that means anything.

I got something very special in the mail today. Along with a great condition Star Fox 64 NFR (both stickers), I got Turok 2. But it wasn't what I was expecting. It's actually the PAL version, which I believe is the only non-NTSC NFR (at least, it is from what I've seen).

Nicely done Swordy, never let that thing go! This page has gotten to the point where it takes me like a minute+ to load it lol.

On a similar note, yesterday I was doing my last ebay search of the day and all the sudden a MM grey appeared (had only been listed maybe a few minutes ago) and it had a $12 starting bid with $4 shipping. I acted really fast and sent the guy a PM (hoping he'd be online) and told him I'd buy now at a certain amount (about $400 LESS than what others have sold for) if he'd make it a buy-now item. LUCKILY he was online and he did just that and I got it. This is like the first MM grey that's been listed on ebay since about a year or more. It's listed as "Like-New" and does look it:

This is one of those wierd cases where I've searched forever for something and finally gotten it, then found another one soon after.

Even though we have 3 MM grey's between just me and swordless, this doesn't mean it's any less rare. There's still only maybe 7 unique MM grey carts that I know of out there. A handful of hardcore guys of Nintendo Age have them (swordless bought his from one of them), I got mine crappy looking one from a Canadian store that's had theirs for many years, and the one I just got off ebay was the first one to be listed on ebay in a loooong time Like I said.

This also means my poor-condition one will be up for sale soon. I'll try selling it on Nintendo Age first then move to Ebay if I have to.

Here's my N64 collection now:

It's taken quite a beating in terms of quantity, it now has the two rarest N64 carts in existence in it. So, worth it.

that collection looks nice.

i'm going to take a guess and say grey MM and DK64 are the rarest games.

it would have been nice if there was a regular edition of MM with a normal sticker since the horrid sticker normal copies shipped with makes it hard to see it.

Got 26 of these (the case, not game v_v) in the mail today. Was only $39 shipped. Alec, I would strongly recommend you get these for your NFRs.

i have several cases similar to that. they have been very useful and sturdy. i've had them for over 13 years and they're still fine so it is a good investment.

I've recently just been buying random n64 games, so my collection has grown since my last post. I don't have any pictures of them, unfortunately. My camera's broken :[
Decent games mixed in with a shitload of terrible games.

NTSC-U
A Bug's Life
Aidyn Chronicles
Body Harvest
Daikatana
Earthworm Jim 3D
Forsaken 64
Iggy's Wreckin' Balls
Ogre Battle 64
Power Rangers: Lightspeed Rescue
Rat Attack
Robotron 64
Snowboard Kids
Space Station Silicon Valley

I miss this thread.

The Rage Wars cart is special cause it's grey (the game normally comes on a black cart). This variant is really rare and currently very valuable.

This is my (small) N64 Collection. PLEASE DON'T LAUGH =S
(http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb372/Kzar5678/N64Collection-1.jpg)
Somewhere I have a Gex3 laying around. My room has been invaded by parents determined to ruin my life and thus, I have no idea where anything is anymore...

Since I have a small N64 collection, I've decided to show off my Zelda collection also =D
(http://i1202.photobucket.com/albums/bb372/Kzar5678/ZeldaCOllection.jpg)

The quality isnt perfect so Ill list them from top left to bottom right:
Wind Waker, Collector's Edition (OOT, MM, Zelda I, Zelda II), Twilight Princess, Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons, Link's Awakening DX, (Top) A link to the Past, (Bottom) Zelda II (NES Classic), Ocarina of Time, Phantom Hourglass.
Not Pictured: Four Swords Adventure.

I don't have an NES or SNES, so obviously I don't have the ORIGINAL Zelda I,II and ALTTP, but I still have access to them via Gamecube, VC and GBA. I want to buy a NES and SNES just for those 3 games just so I can "complete" my collection, but first I need money xD
I also don't have Spirit Tracks or Skyward Sword yet. (again, money) I'm gonna borrow my friend's copy of Skyward Sword until I get money to buy my own =D I also wanna get the Wii version of TP as well to "complete" the collection. Majora's Mask for N64 is also on the "to buy" list.
