OK so I wanna run a .bingo OoT race tournament.

the idea would be you get paired up with somebody and whenever you are both free, you do a race by using RBABot and typing .bingo for the goal. You will get a link to a bingo board which you will have to get 5 in a row on. Whoever wins moves on and whoever loses either is out of the tournament or dropped into the other side of the bracket.

Here is the bracket:

Rules:
You may play on N64, Gamecube, VC, emulator*
*if you play on emulator you must stream the entire run

gameshark/AR/cheating is not allowed.
Crooked Cart is not allowed.

EDIT: Since I want this tournament to actually finish races have to happen within 2 weeks (as in if Keeta beats RG then keeta has 2 weeks to play his next round). If one person refuses to race and doesn't have a valid reason, he will be DQed.

EDIT: 16 people have entered. Bracket is done (see above). In case you don't know to race you must enter the IRC channel (speedrunslive.com and click join channel) and use your racing nick. Basic racing rules are on that site. All races must be .bingo!!!!!! YOU MUST POST RESULTS IN THIS THREAD

I would also highly recommend adding a time period for each round if you want this to actually be finished. Or at least some sort of rule so one pair isn't holding up the whole thing.

You won't have to race right away. By the 2 week thing I meant that you just don't say anything about it. If you say why the round won't be completed within 2 weeks then everything is fine.

Depends, because I gotta find a way to record my run, my dazzle broke so I can't buy a new one and am left with nothing to record it with. :o

Not to mention I got only a little bit of time on my hands, that is until summer! Man, If only I could find a way to record, any suggestions? If I can't get  into this tournament tell me when the next one is.

You can record the ending with a camera (even if it's on a phone). You just need to show the 5 items that you achieved then show the filename.

there would be a slight problem with that as i have noticed that a fair few of the bingo boards have GS in dungeons, how would you show you got them and not just any random ones (if you posted a 5 items clip that is) not that anyone would cheat  i hope :)

Go to the temple and pause to dungeon map. There will be a GS emblem.

Enter #speedrunslive and you can talk to the person you're racing and race whenever.

You might want to try to move Kazooie and Librari to opposite sides of the bracket

Okay I edited the bracket when thundrio let maxx fill in for him. It was easier just to reseed so if you're ranked lower than maxx you are now playing someone else. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Just as a question how did you seed the placements? Was it completely random or did you base it off something?

Off-topic but it wasn't during an irc race. Hence why ZFG doesn't own every record.

alright Maxx when do we run? my schedules are flexible so i can adjust it to you, however im not able to run tomorrow.

about that bingo challenge: i must not just take 5 goals out of the grid, i have to choose either a row, a column or a diagonal, is that correct?

Yeah, it has to be a row/column/diagonal.

I can race on any weekday this week after 6PM EST or any time on Saturday. Let me know. Late races (starting after 9 or 10 EST) would be a bad idea for me on any weeknight except Friday.

Yeah I figure there isn't much reason for me to enter a tournament like this since I'm permabanned from the official racing channel for every game (for no real reason might I add), plus this game isn't really fun to me anymore.

Ouch, three second snipe. That must sting.

I wasn't against Librari in the tournament, so it wasn't that bad. But yeah, it sucked, especially after playing like shit and having so many things that could've made the difference (like having to redo DC cause i ran out of chus for the megaflip)
