Since BA seems to be different in J and maybe even in E I tought I would make a new thread, since this is gong to take quite some research.

Btw. it might even be different between versions. So J1.0 might have different BA than J1.1.

Hmm E 1.0 BA seems to work pretty much the same as U Ba, however not quite.
Great fairy sword jinxes you and gives you 256R, however no rock sirloin. interesting...
Only other thing I've tested so far is lens of truth. that seems to have stayed the same.

Doesn't seem to matter what lanuage you select. The effects stay the sae. Well at least with german and english, but I'm pretty sure it will be the same with the other languages.
That's uite sad I had hoped to maybe get different effects in different languages.

So how is this exactly possible? I'd like to test.

Powder keg also doesn't ive you rock sirloin. I suspect that BA does the same stuff it does on the U version but that the sirloin variable is somewhere different. However I can't say for sure. Somebody who can monitor RAM would have to test this.

I guess this topic really is a little bit pointless. i expectd E BA to yield soe different result, besides not giving the rock siriolin.
If that's really the only difference the J topic would have sufficed. But oh well hindsight is 20:20.

And I haven't tested that much E BA yet. Maybe there'll still be little differences.

or mabye you'll discover over writing the slippy mask will give you all the elemental arrows.

all on the japanese version and then getting some Hot spring water for a TAS Im working on, are the effects for these unknown? or should I make a Savestate and look into them?

Here's a summary, in case you don't feel like watching the video

Ocarina - Nothing happens
Pendant of Memories - Nothing happens
Kafei's Mask - Your magic meter will refill slightly, and you will be transported to the midnight of the current day when you load a new area
Bremen Mask - This will instantly cool any Hot Spring Water caught in...the Bottle 1 slot? I think that's right. I stopped caring and researching this type of BA because it's so dumb. I just know it cools HSW in a certain legit bottle.
Deku and Zora Mask - These are the most screwed-up BA's in the game. You can't correctly summon the giants with the Oath to Order if you use either of these BA's. It's similar to (but not exactly the same as) Hookshot BA in the US version. I stopped researching this one because it was weird and frustrating, so maybe you can discover something cool with it.

I've noticed that ZSR has absolutely no information about the Japanese version on the BA page. I'll fix that with a detailed explanation soon. For now, though, I hope this answers some of your questions.

On the VC version I did a hookshot BA and I never got jinxed. Nor did groundhog day A.K.A stuck in the same day.

No, only ocarina on B did.

Having the Great Fairy's Sword in possession is required for some results (if not all). Nothing happens when I didn't have it (VC US version).

I know. Nothing happened for Blazing Factor when he tried getting jinx'd from BA, so I suggested having the GFS that may help because nothing happened for me until I have it. Ignoring version difference because I'm theorizing that the same applies.
