Created the channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/ZeldaSpeedRunsDotCom (http://www.youtube.com/user/ZeldaSpeedRunsDotCom)

It's empty now, but I can't upload anything until I have permission from people to do so.  While having the videos posted on the site may be permission enough, we don't want someone paranoid to screw up everything and get the channel deleted due to copyright infringement.

Stuff that needs to be uploaded:
IL's (for now, just the first place ones, however they will not be deleted when obsoleted)

ZeldaSpeedRunsDotCom is way better than OfficialZeldaSpeedRuns; the latter sounds like something created and controlled by Nintendo.

I agree with ZeldaSpeedRunsDotCom. Lots of potential with a youtube channel for us so hopefully a lot of good can come out of it and it should help promote the site quite a bit. I really do like the idea of in-depth glitch explanation videos.

DotCom, yes yes. I dig the idea, as this could help archive stuff pretty good. I.E. instead of having to look on 10+ different people's channels for that one tutorial video, it's all on our yt channel, stuff like that.

Why not just ZSR & for the channel title put "The official ZeldaSpeedruns' Channel"? Then on the sidebar we could just tell how the channel's devoted to uploaded IL's, any%'s, 100%'s, etc. I think more people should have access to the account than just Cosmo.

Well the they said zeldaspeedruns is taken, but I don't know if that means ZSR. Then I'd probably have to say ZSR.com.

I checked availability for "ZeldaSpeedRunsDotCom" on Youtube but it says unavailable. I searched for a channel with that name but came up with nothing.

Well SDA's channel is SpeedDemosArchiveSDA... I think we should name our channel ZeldaSpeedRunsZSR.

That's because I've already created it.  BWAHAHAHA.

It seemed like the consensus, so I just went with it.  I'll start uploading stuff later today.

EDIT: I should probably get permission from everyone before I start uploading anything.  If you give permission for your videos to be uploaded, post here.  If there's certain stuff that you only want uploaded, or stuff you don't want uploaded, also post that here, your request will be honored.

I don't think I have anything on my channel you'd really want to upload, but I could subscribe to the channel and help advertise it. My channel gets a lot of traffic so it might be good for the site.

Feel free to upload any of my IL's or other Zelda related videos I post to this site that you may find useful.  Unfortunately, they are all camcorder quality right now.

guys, what about a facebook and a twitter? we could know the news at th moment

I'd been thinking of a Facebook for a long time, but it didn't sound like a good idea to me. I don't have a problem with it personally and I think it'd be cool, it's just that us all becoming fans of a Facebook page would reveal more personal information and such than some might be comfortable with. A lot of us have added each other on Facebook already, though, so I know they won't have a problem. But some people like Jayson Johnson (?) may wish to remain more anonymous.

why would you facebook/twitter for zelda speedrunning?

Facebook is kinda like eh, but twitter would be good for announcing streams, new run times, ILs, Updates to the site etc.

as I said, knowing news at the moment, and not waiting somebody to write them on the front site, it is annoying to read everithing and at the end.... nothing new >__>

Yeah I guess Twitter would make sense... But facebook? Naw.

We have a twitter account, we just don't use it yet.
