Title: TAS Videos Shutting Down

Anybody visit the site today? Apparently they are shutting down, but I'm pretty sure its an April fools joke, because the admins can't all be as stupid as what they were saying in their private chat...

Nope they're serious. They've been planning on shutting down for a while. Bye bye TASVideos.

They're wanting to shut down at the end of April, so if anyone wants to download orginal movie files and .avi's you better start doing it now. I guess there is now a powerful argument to extend the site for accepting TASes for Zelda games.

TO ANYONE WHO HAS UNLIMITED BANWIDTH/HAS A LOT OF COMPUTER UPTIME:

Downoad/pirate WebsiteRipperCopier or something like that, point it to www.tasvideos.org, and let it download EVERYTHING. Make an archive of it all, because I'm sure nobody else will :/

I believed it was real and was really depressed...then I thought about it.

If something of this magnitude was actually happening, they'ld discuss it on IRC. They wouldn't do it in the forums. Other than one conversation in the public room, they made no references to conversations outside of the topic. Something of this magnitude would be talked about far more.

On the other hand...this would be one insanely intricate April Fool's joke...
