Title: LA/OoX Trick Discussion Thread Post by: AkiGrahamShitatsuchi on March 18, 2010, 01:33:01 AM Okay, this isn't as much a trick discussion thread as a thread to list all of the tricks that are known and useful. I don't know of any, so I can't really add anything to the list. Any one want to contribute?
List: Title: Re: LA/OoX Trick Discussion Thread Post by: Elminster45 on March 18, 2010, 02:56:24 AM I found a glitch in OoS that causes the title screen to appear when you press the Power button. It was on my friend's GBASP, so I can't test anything with it right now. But if he comes over tomorrow and lets me play with it I might be able to replicate the glitch again and post an instructional video.
Title: Re: LA/OoX Trick Discussion Thread Post by: Tompa on March 18, 2010, 12:18:10 PM As someone decided to create this topic, I'll just have to continue my work on the tricks/glitches video in the same way as I did the A Link to the Past one.
The video will only focus on LA/LADX however, as the Oracles have too few to even care about :P. I should have it done in the weekend. I used pegasus seed and jumped over gap. i thought I was doin it legit :/
In lvl 5 I've gotten 2 small keys and I think I can get to gloves if i do a long jump to a peahat damage boost over the water. Title: Re: LA/OoX Trick Discussion Thread Post by: Tompa on June 20, 2010, 07:13:41 PM I should have it done in the weekend. Hmm, I never said which weekend, did I? ::)I should come back to that project, as I have most of it done anyway. And as Slowi has made me a LA page, I'm going to start writing up some content for it. More on that... Title: Re: LA/OoX Trick Discussion Thread Post by: Tompa on July 03, 2010, 08:27:24 PM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7etm1oG2MA
There's a movie showing some things at least. I'm going to write description soon, just wanted to get it up as soon as possible. Title: Re: LA/OoX Trick Discussion Thread Post by: AkiGrahamShitatsuchi on July 25, 2010, 12:40:15 PM Pokey, do you have the flippahs?

My first TAS, the first 12 minutes of ooa. The mid boss fight isn't optimised. Any idea or critisism are welcome. Title: Re: LA/OoX Trick Discussion Thread Post by: Tompa on October 21, 2010, 08:26:41 PM Which animal are you getting with that secret? It's also possible, with the use of the password generator (Found here (http://www.zophar.net/utilities/gbutil/zelda-oracles-series-secrets-generator.html), to find a password that's faster to write in than the one you used. Even though it's kinda annoying to find one :).
Doing a secrets run requires a bit more planning to be made throughout the run. Using more secrets than ring secrets for example. There are also several other rings that are useful in a TAS, such as the Pegasus Ring. How much of this have you planned? I also suggest that you take a look at Swordless' TAS (here (http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1584633678/new-new-OoA%282%29%284%29%281%29%283%29%281%29%281%29%283%29%281%29%282%29%281%29%281%29%282%29%281%29%281%29%281%29%281%29.vbm)) to see some stuff that you can improve on, as there are several errors as of now. I don't know how optimised you want the run to be though, but still :). His TAS is "currently" being redone from scratch however. I have managed to save a few more frames so far up to Maku Road in the past, even though I'm now losing most of it because of different manipulation... Anyway, it's a good start, but needs some more polishing to it =).
