I would also be really interested in how your guys routes went. Because when I thought of the challange I thought of a lot of different ways one could do it.
So I'm interested if there really were that much different routes or if Jianos runs have made you loose your out of the box thinking. XD

I did better than I thought I was going to. I was actually ahead of a few people that were able to finish the challenge, at the point I got the Goron Mask. I really had no idea how to get through the Pirate Fortress and that's where I had to give in due to time constraint.

I got 7 songs in all, in approx 2:40 from the start at the name entry.

Route:
1st cycle (Jiano's SS way)

Hovered to coast, got zora mask
Went to swamp, got bottle, went the deku palace and got Sonata of Awakening
Got Song of Soaring
Beat Woodfall (skipped half the dungeon using hovers)

Went to Goron Mountain area, got lens of truth, Goron Mask, spring water
Got Goron Lullaby from the baby Goron
Went to Snowhead, struggled a bit but eventually got Fire Arrows
SoT to first day
Hovered over rock into Ranch, got Epona's Song
Went to Pirate Fortress and got into the main area where the hookshot is
Gave up do to time, would have taken me hours more probably in Ikana



So overall I was pretty proud of how far I got. I need to learn the last 2 temples better though (been years since I've played them).

I had to work so I couldn't try it. but it looks like I wouldn't have made the cut anyways. Perhaps I'l try this just for fun though and to improve my skills for the next time.

Still, great fun, I just hope they can go back to Saturdays (I was extremely lucky to make this one).

My parents had pulled an all-nighter so they could sleep through my impromptu, but when they woke up I was still playing. My stepdad kept encouraging me...to give up. What an asshole. Eventually we had to eat dinner and my parents wanted to watch TV, but I wasn't finished yet, so that time was included in my final time. >_<

Ah well, my stepdad cleaned the kitchen for me, which was supposed to be my job, so I forgive him. ;)
