Post by: Habreno on May 06, 2015, 10:00:40 AM As far as I know, the cutscenes that are skippable are the same from version to version. As a general guideline:
Boss Spawning CS are skippable Miniboss Spawning CS are skippable New Area CS are skippable Dungeon First Room CS are skippable (Dungeon Entrance CS, on the other hand, when they occur, are generally NOT skippable) Master Sword CS is NOT skippable Epona Taming CS is NOT skippable Post Blizzetta CS is NOT skippable In short, most CS are skippable. The *MAJOR* plot points tend to not be (Master Sword, Ilia's Memory Returning, etc.) In general, try it (-) on Wii, (Start) on GC and if not it'll do nothing/show a message (upper central part of the screen), no harm in trying. Also note that some CS are only partially skippable (Ordon Spring Portal, for example) in the beginning half, and some are partially skippable in the later half (After Kakariko Village Portal CS) Title: Re: Which cutscenes can you not skip the wii version? Some mini-CS (often Midna Texts) are not skippable via -/START, but are skippable by evading the trigger or jumping out of the trigger. These tend to be one-frame tricks. Examples: Kakariko Gorge Warping CS (Important in Any%), Post Faron Tears Midna Text (this one is after a fade transition after skipping the actual CS associated with it), Hyrule Castle Rooftops in first trip (immediately after skipping the CS, no fade transition!) Others can be skipped either by sequence breaking past/around them or by not triggering them at all. Examples of the former are skipping Goron Mines and Temple of Time in Any%, skipping the Rusl CS and the Golden Cucco via a bomb boost to an OOB ledge to reach the Sacred Grove, either in 100% for the Master Sword for FEMS routes or in 100%/AD for Temple of Time. Examples of the latter are often in Ordon Village early, being Hanch throwing rocks at the beehive and angering the bees, the goat escaping from Ordon Ranch and having to wrangle it, etc. |
