Title: Ganonless v1.0/v1.1 and v1.2+ runs Post by: Vulkryst on July 27, 2014, 08:13:47 PM Recently the Ganonless category was added to the leaderboards, which is pretty sweet, but I have a problem with it. It looks like Ganonless runs on v1.0 and v1.1 are also lumped together with v1.2+ runs. I am confused as to why it's not split into two separate categories: one containing 1.0 and 1.1 runs and another containing 1.2 runs only. There's an obvious difference in time as a 1.1 run will be quicker than a 1.2 run. Unless I am missing something or not understanding some sort of technicality. Perhaps some of you can help clear this up for me or shed some light on the issue?

Title: Re: Ganonless v1.0/v1.1 and v1.2+ runs Post by: Apasher on July 27, 2014, 08:35:36 PM You can use the filter to only display runs in one version of the game. I don't really see a need to have separate categories for it.
Not to mention we already have a bunch of categories on ZSR anyway, so having separate categories for each version would be very unnecessary. Title: Re: Ganonless v1.0/v1.1 and v1.2+ runs Post by: Vulkryst on July 27, 2014, 09:52:56 PM I can see that. I guess it's just a different way to get to the same result. And there are a ridiculous amount of routes and runs for this game.

But as said earlier the idea is that Categories are separate by their GOAL, and versions are filterable as subsets of that. I've always had this thought as well. Times on specific versions can be more comparable this way. This topic should be saved for IRC/another discussion thread though. |
