The producer of Zelda, Eiji Aonuma, has said that Zelda Wii will have some changes to other Zelda games... Could see an E3 2010 reveal

Any news about the upcoming Legend of Zelda game for Wii is sure to get people excited. But the news that the series will be experiencing some changes... A "new structure"... Could get some people worried.

In a recent interview the Producer of Zelda Wii, Eiji Aonuma, has said the game will feature significant changes from other Zelda games.

"It is something we used to talk about with Mr Miyamoto, and he and I agree that if we are following the same structure again and again, we might not be able to give long time Zelda fans a fresh surprise."

"So we have been trying something new in terms of the structure of the Wii version of the new Zelda game this time. I am really hopeful that people will be surprised with the changes we have implemented for this Wii version."

He also revealed that the Zelda team hopes to have the game ready to be shown off at next years E3 show. Probably a trailer, but gameplay is a possibility.

"I hope that we can show you something at the E3 show next year and it is something we are hopeful will be surprising."

The full interview will be available to read in the newest edition of Official Nintendo Magazine when it releases on December 18th.

Briefly alluded to at this year's E3, the new Zelda game is already known to be centred round the Wii's MotionPlus add-on, with the swordplay and archery that are mainstays in the series benefitting from the technology.

Confirming 1:1 swordplay, Aonuma said, "We're taking advantage of MotionPlus. It's become very natural – the movement of your arms is precisely reflected in the gameplay. Thanks to the technological advancements, we hope the gameplay can be more accessible to people."

In the run-up to the release of The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks, the all-new DS instalment for Link and company, Aonuma also revealed new details on the Wii game, which is to be fully unveiled at next year's E3.

"We're making efforts regarding the total flow of the Zelda game," said Aonuma, "So far, the basic flow of the Zelda games is you're exploring a field, you go to a dungeon, you conquer it and return to the field. We're looking at altering that traditional flow. That's all I can share, and I can't say more until E3 next year."

The only real speculation has been that the girl is the master sword so its indirectly confirmed.

Does anyone find it odd that for the next zelda title, so little information has been released? I mean, we barely have a title, let alone anything else. Look at Spirit tracks, I know it is coming out rather soon, but we had quite some details about it beforehand! (E3, etc)

I'm anticipating that Zelda Wii won't be out until late 2011, which will be rather unfortunate being that the end of the world is coming and all  :D

Maybe it'll be a Majora's Mask remake, and you have 3 actual days to beat it before the moon crashes into earth

By the time this comes out I'll want absolutely nothing to do with games

it doesn't matter much because this game will more than likely be a flop

IMO obviously
