Hi, I'm a new speed runner and after watching Cosmo and EnNopp112 i decided to try speedrunning, I got the Project64 emultor and a US and JP version of MM and tried the glitches but i could never do the HMS skip or the Moons tear skip.

I was just wondering if people could link me a route and give tips on learning these glitches/skips and are they possible on a emulator or do i need a VC?

well as there are no explanations on ZSR on these..


HMS skip requires pause buffering, you need to advance frame by frame, and not skip a single one by pausing. this is pretty hard and sucks on emulator, you might figure it out on console.

moon tear skip is not a big deal: either you gainer (http://zeldaspeedruns.com/mm/tech/gainer) or backflip up
for the backflip there are a few strats, you can find them on youtube

if you try to get into speedrunning MM, the most important things you'll want to learn are:

- isg
- bomb hovering
- more bomb hovering
- hovering with bombs and with chus
- hover
- the actual route
- gbt bk skip, woodfall bk skip
- lullaby skip
- ok

tbh I wouldn't even bother with salesman skip too early.

Okay, I've seem some runners on twitch load save states of different dungeons and areas to learn them, is it possible to download some saves or do i need to go through and save them myself?
