Turn up the volume at around :25 through :32. Is that the fucking fire temple chant music?
You can also barley hear it at 1:02 - 1:05.

I just randomly watched this video because I remember playing cruis'n world as a kid in the arcade and it was so fun.

What's even more interesting? Cruis'n World was made in 1996 - 2 years BEFORE OCARINA OF TIME. It really makes you think about the REAL reason they may have removed the chanting from later releases...

Here's the song alone, with no sound effects (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRkmZ3z6xlA). You can really hear the chanting in this video.

OoT v1.2 (which removed the Fire Temple chanting) was created on November 12th; OoT first came out in Japan on November 21st, and in America on November 23rd. The whole "Muslim outcry" theory doesn't make much sense with this in mind, as the music was altered before the game even came out.

exactly, i was actually talking to tsa about that same thing a while ago on aim (about how every version of oot was made before nov 21).

And holy fuck the chanting is WAY too obvious in that video with the song alone O_O

Just for those curious here was a youtube comment I found (not on those videos but another one about the fire temple music):

Quote
yes , I confirm , it's arabic islamic praising and here's the translation :

la illaha ila allah : there's no god but god (allah)

bismi allahi rahmani rahim : in the name of God , the most merciful , the most compassionate

allaho akbar : God is the greatest

You can find a lot of information by searching these phrases so I would assume they are correct (slight spelling differences in a few of the terms), and it seems to be widely used: http://quranicteachings.co.uk/ilah.htm (http://quranicteachings.co.uk/ilah.htm) is just one example.

An Xbox fighting game called Kakuto Chojin also used the chants: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rtvz8MQZocw

According to the video's author:
Quote
The problem with this game, is that it contains an african/arabic muai thai fighter named Asad which fights in an arabic themed ring and which background music contains samples of the arabic term "Allah Akbar" (God is great).

In fear of the polemic, Microsoft decided on february 2003 to call back all the Kakuto Chojin discs and cancelled the european release of the game.
