Remember not to hit Ghirahim for more than 3 consequtive hits when you're fighting Ghirahim's first phase, otherwise he'll jump back costing time.

Segment 7:
Isn't killing spider first in the room with 3 eyes faster?
You start climbing up the vine during the cutscene of the door opening.
It probably makes almost no difference at all, but it may be faster? I'm not really sure.

And when you push down the box, you can just jump slightly to the sides so that you won't land on the box.

Activating the switch to raise the water before entering the room should be slightly faster, and it would make the segment less of a pain, since you could just restart if you did bad on that trick.

In the room with the boss key, when you shoot on the switch to open the gate, you can also shoot down 1 vine in the room while you're at it. (or when you're on the log at the top, so that you're at least moving while shooting them)

After the boss key, use the ropes to get back to the boss door.

Also, was it really faster to use the skyward strike on the spider, instead of just using the beetle? I am aware that it is possible to do it faster the way you did it, but most of the times you end up loosing time while doing it.

Segment 8:
Autosave instead of using bird statue. I know, it makes the next segment a pain since you have to talk with the kikwi every attempt, but this is faster.

Take the heart container. If you don't, you have to re-watch the cutscene during your second visit.

Most of these things are very minor, but it is something that people could do when they're making an actual run.

I killed the spider then because I was already right next to it since I was pushing the box.

Nope, it'd actually be better to make the shot when I did and then sidehop into the water before the cutscene so you don't have to wait while Link surfaces. I didn't do it because it meant missing the switch at all killed the segment.

barely. not worth it.

I was aware of that. I didn't take the heart container because it would make deathwarping slower. Even just one extra heart means it'll take 4 hits instead of 3 to die.

Segment 10

I'm keeping a list of improvements in the first post so they won't be all over the place.

Segment 11

i don't think rupees are an issue anymore. I got a red rupee in segment 9, i'll be picking up a few blues in segment 12, and if there aren't another 15 right in the way then I'll just grab one from a hydra in LMF which wouldn't really cost me any time.

In Segment 8, after the cutscene at the top of the stairs finishes. Start charging your skyward strike and then use it from the last stone you would normally need to jump from.

EDIT: Is it also possible to get holy water at the end of that segment?

Unfortunately, no. The Sacred Water does not exist until you talk to Faron the first time.

but more hearts (especially on hero mode) is a good thing. even if deathwarping at MAX hp takes longer. You can plan your damage. There are quite a few bomb spots that are sped up by attacking the bomb. thats a quick 2 hearts that do not replenish. i am pretty certain that AT LEAST the skyview one is beneficial to get.

Also, how do you do the horde battle without getting absolutely owned in hero mode? I found that so much damage was quite hard to avoid. its easy to die to it without a fairy.

Skyview changes when you get water scale, not when you talk to faron.

So you can get the water before going to lake floria for the first time and just skip the first conversation with water dragon?

I highly doubt it, I think you need scale and talk with Faron to get the alternate temple.

In segment 13, before the bomb bag, couldn't you throw the bomb from further back, and before it goes through the crawlspace you could roll through it to get a bit closer?

Yes, you can quote people, but people tend to be wrong or mistaken. I know I am a lot of the time. If I finish my Harp run today, I'll check. Just starting Eldin, 1 hour in.

I'm guessing you're grabbing the potion lady bottle and the Old Impa bottle?  I woulda grabbed them before heading towards Earth Temple as there's a little puddle very near the entrance.

I use the old Impa, as you can just side hop or w/e to get it, and it comes with an emergency potion. Using it is still faster than the text from the potion shop.

Add the right sidehop at the minecart to the list of improvements.

I should actually re-record my video of that trick with the sidehop as it is like 2-3 seconds faster that way.
I'll watch all the segments I've missed when I get my new laptop charger. Expect more feedback later :p

Segment 26

Anyone have any idea what the fastest way to take out the three Stalfos in Skyview Temple is? That's coming up in a couple segments. I'd prefer to have something consistent since I'm gonna have to do the whole revisit in one segment.
