Title: mm on emulator
Post by: davidenettuno on May 12, 2015, 07:35:27 PM
Can you help me please? I would like to emulate on my pc zelda majora's mask (j). But I have problems with both the Nintendo 64 version where the clock goes faster than normal, with both the Wii version vc where after the screen where you choose the name crashes. If you know how to start you can help me?

On the first cycle as a Deku, the time moves faster than in subsequent cycles. Is that what you're experiencing?

Time moves fast forever. Some mini-games can't be complete as that of beavers.

In addition, the game goes to 60 vi/s. I also tried to set the refresh rate to 1500 there, and uncheck fixed audio timing of Project64 2.1.0.1 but I always have this problem.

Project 64 2.x is known to run games at faster than their original framerate. If you want to emulate the game I'd suggest using either Project 64 1.6 or 1.7 as those are more console accurate than 2.0 or higher.

Thanks for the advice. Now I try to project 1.7 and I'll know if it's okay.

I tried the version 1.7.0.50, but the problem is not resolved in this version

That can't explain the problems described. PJ64 2 is inaccurate, but it's hardly noticeable.
About the framerate: The game itself runs with 20fps. As far as I understand it, every (console) frame is shown three times by a TV, or in this case by the video plugin of PJ64 as that is the framerate of NTSC-systems (PAL would be 16.6/50fps).

Probably someone can explain that better than me, but in a nutshell: the framerate you see is correct and doesn't have to do with your problem.

Have you tried running other ROMs (OoT-J, MM-U)?

Maybe your ROM is corrupted somehow.
